Rand’s Drink: The John Cameron, developed by Seattle mixologist Andrew Bohrer (pictured below).
From Andrew Bohrer:
For late night, I like the John Cameron. We used to drink these after hours at Mistral Kitchen on leftover hunks of ice.
It is either:
2 oz Vermouth di Torino or 2 oz Carpano Antica (if Antica, then 1 dash persimmon vinegar)
.25 oz Ardbeg, whatever label
2 dashes orange bittersIt’s essentially an inverted Rob Roy or a “vermouth on the rocks,” which is why I named it after the Creator of Hedwig and the Angry Inch. You can just pour more over the same ice chunk for hours.
Pour yourself a cocktail and enjoy the conversation…
